My Story
My name is Kim Van Loan and I’m the owner and administrator of The VA Expert.
I want to take a moment to tell you a little bit about my work experience prior to becoming The VA Expert as it directly relates to who I am and how I work today.
My journey into business ownership as a virtual assistant began in 1999. My career, however, began way before the Internet and working virtually was as popular as it is today.
Working since the age of 16 I took my first position as a cashier in my local grocery store. I was quickly promoted to customer service manager and that put me on the path of ‘getting things done’. Hard work and determination aren’t words I use lightly, they’re words I live by.
With my college studies in Business Management beginning, I decided to try my hand at office work. I took a position with a local business doing very mundane phone work in an office of six people each of whom had a specific role within the company. As each person in the office moved on, one by one I personally, seamlessly and successfully replaced all 6 people.
Before I knew it, I was running an entire office alone but I didn’t have the title and other perks to match so I jumped into an office management position for a local dry cleaning chain.
The owner of the company believed so greatly in my ability to get the job done that upon his own personal commitment to retire within a few years he was confident that I could run the office from home.
Marriage and motherhood soon came into the picture and so it goes that The VA Expert was born…
I’ve been working as a Virtual Assistant now for over a decade and I love every moment of it.
I do not outsource my work to others… it’s just me and I only take on a limited number of clients at a time. My number one priority is to make your life easier and to ensure your business runs more smoothly by simply taking things off your plate. I have a knack for jumping in and taking the reigns full force so show me the path and I’ll pave it for you! My goal is to keep you happy with the knowledge that I know your business so well that I can nearly run it without you!
Some of my clients include several dry cleaning chains, a luxury health & fitness club, a t-shirt company, an insurance agency, a skin care company, a well known business growth strategist, several highly regarded Internet Marketers and a renowned business coach and NLP trainer whom I’ve been with for almost 10 years!
